New Snack Program
From the Farm Snack Program
Starting the first day of school, our children will eat fresh snacks prepared in our garden kitchen and delivered to each classroom daily!
The From the Farm Snack Program will replace the previous process of families providing snack weekly for each classroom. Historically, families have spent $25-$50 per week purchasing snack for their class.
What this program provides:
-
Seasonal produce delivered to school
-
Tasty, nutritious snack for each student daily
What this program will cost:
-
A financial donation of $25-$50 per student for the entire school year (additional donations appreciated)
This program’s success depends on:
-
Consistent volunteers to wash and distribute food from garden kitchen
-
Meeting our financial needs
How you can help:
-
Contribute your financial donation promptly (remember, no need for snack shopping)
-
Checks payable to Miraloma PTA – please write “snack program” in note section on check and give to your teacher (cash also accepted)
-
Volunteer for snack preparation through your room parent! (Shifts daily at 8am in the garden).

PTA Membership
Join the Miraloma School PTA!
The Miraloma Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) embraces a whole-child approach to education by:
-
Supporting Miraloma's academic program and enrichment activities,
-
Encouraging meaningful family participation and awareness,
-
Strengthening our community of students, families, teachers, and staff.
We invite you to join us to make a difference in the education and quality of life for your child and all children at Miraloma. Becoming a member means you may participate in making decisions about how the PTA supports the programs at Miraloma: you will have the right to vote, to raise issues at meetings, to be an officer of the group, and to take advantage of parent-education conferences and events sponsored by the state and national PTA.
Although we welcome your active participation in the PTA, joining is not mandatory; you may attend meetings without being a member. All parents without regard to membership may volunteer to help in the school and participate in PTA-sponsored events at the school.
