| Science Night | |

Come join us at Science Night THIS THURSDAY at 5:30-7:00pm! All week is Oceans week and the entire school is learning about the important role water plays in our environment. Science projects will be displayed throughout the school's hallways and in the gymnasium. Students will get a 'habitat passport' that they can get stamped by each display/habitat they visit. Join us for this fun and interesting evening at school! |

| Parent/Teacher Conference: Sign Up! | |
| Parent/Teacher-Guardian conferences will be held from Monday, March 22nd through Friday, March 26th. School will be dismissed one (1) hour early, with student dismissal at 12:50pm. As a result, students riding the buses will be arriving at their stops one hour earlier than the regularly scheduled time, students in after school programs will go to their after school program one hour early, and students being picked up will need to be gathered at 12:50 in the regular location. Teachers will be scheduling and sending home conference appointment confirmations during the next week. To assist them, complete and return this form to teachers by no later than Wednesday, March 17, 2010 |

| Book Fair Thank You and Results |

| Thanks to all the students, staff, and parents who browsed and bought at the Scholastic book fair, we made more than ever before for Miraloma! We netted $15,798 in sales and earned $9,804 in Scholastic Dollars - that's 50% of our net plus a bunch of incentives and rewards for being awesome. We've already taken $2,988 in books from the fair to fulfill staff wishlists and provide Read-a-thon gift certificates and scholarship books to students in need. (This is IN ADDITION to the generous donations the community made in buying more wish list books than ever for classrooms, staff, and the library.) We have almost $6,000 remaining to use for classroom, staff, and student needs throughout the school. Way to go! When you see our intrepid book fair volunteers, please take a moment to thank them for giving so much of their time and talents to ensure our success: Kara Paw-Pa and Aedra Li, Karen and Fiona Mackey, Julie Wise, Gina and Olivia Cicciarelli, Jim Brosnahan, Paula Rivers, Nora McConnell, Holly Micheletos, Frannie Roche, Carolyn Fleg, Jenny Rose, Allison Rothman, Molly Graves, Sara and Jackson Vellve, Charlotte Worcester, Seth Affoumado, and Cleo Blackketter. They each work diligently and thoughtfully to determine class assignments for your children for each year and truly are the best at what they do! | |
