Miraloma Book Fair - Three More Days!
|
Congratulations to all our fantastic read-a-thoners and thanks for the generous support of the book fair so far! Miraloma earns a 50% return on our pre-tax profit from Scholastic - the main way we get new books for our library. Invite your friends and family and visit often to select a teacher's "wish list" book for your child's classroom library, expand your home library, and get great deals on gifts. The Book Fair will be open in the library:
- Thur 3/4 from 8 am - 6:00 pm (extended hours for afterschool programs)
- Fri 3/5 from 8 am - 3 pm
(First Friday will be held in the book fair after drop off - come for coffee and to browse ALL the great deals on scrip, etc!)
- Sat 3/6 from 9 am - 1 pm (during the garden work party & clean-up day)
Special thanks to Miraloma's own Oliver Chin, author of Year of the Tiger and many other beloved titles, who's donating a portion of sales of his books featured at the fair to the Miraloma PTA.

| MARCH 6: School Clean-up Day & Garden Work Party |
|
Come and bring the family to school on Saturday March 6!
It's the last day of the Book Fair, it's the Garden Work Party
and the School Clean-up Day!
Please join us this Saturday for our bi-annual School Clean Up Day. Any amount of time you can volunteer between 10 AM and 1 PM is greatly appreciated. It's been noted that a good disinfection of each room may help to quell the outbreak of strep throat that's been going through the school.
If you'd like to sign up to clean your child's classroom, go to the Miraloma Yahoo Group, click on the Database link and enter your name on the sign up list. Otherwise, just show up and sign in near the library. Light snacks and drinks will be available. Kids are welcome.
