You may start logging entries at 2pm on Wednesday January 4th and stop logging entries by 9pm Wednesday, January 18th.

2) Does all reading count, even if read to a child by an adult?
Yes, all reading counts even if read to a child by an adult.  Many of the students still need to be read to.

3) How can I get a copy of the log?
You can download a PDF of the reading log to make extra copies.

4) Will we get our logs back after tallying so that we may use it to collect pledges?
No, the logs will not be returned. You are welcome to make a copy of the log for your needs and turn in the original. We will provide each teacher with the total minutes read by student after the minutes have been tallied.

5) Can I turn my log in after January 19th?
No. Because classrooms are competing and we need time for tallying, please treat this as a hard deadline, and return logs to your teacher no later than Thursday, January 19th.

6) When will winning classrooms be announced?
Announcements will be on Thursday, January 26th at morning circle.

7) Do I have to turn in ALL my pledge money by January 19?
Turn in as much as possible by January 19th and continue to turn in money as you receive it. Donors can pledge online or put collections in the PTA box in the main office. Please make sure all money is marked Read-a-thon and includes the name and room number of the student.

8) What if I'm out of town and can't return my log on Thursday January 19h?
Please give your log to your classroom teacher before leaving. If you have additional minutes to add up to Wednesday February 9th evening, please email the minutes to: readathon@miralomasf.com with your child's name and room number; we will include the extra minutes to your child's log.

9) Does it matter what I read?
ALL reading counts: books, newspaper, magazines, graphic novels, internet stories, homework reading, books on tape, etc.!
